The English Ministry at Formosan Presbyterian Church is a community of believers, seeking to follow Jesus our Savior. We believe our ultimate life purpose is to glorify and enjoy God forever.

Relying on God's grace, we want all of our worship, giving, teaching, fellowship, and mission to be marked by obedience to God's Word, joyful celebration of baptism and communion, and openness to the life-transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

We are a growing ministry of the oldest Taiwanese Presbyterian church in Houston. This heritage gives us a strong excitement for multicultural ministry. Whatever your background, we invite you to come and experience the miraculous grace of God with us.

Brief Mission and Vision Statement

At Formosan Presbyterian Church, we believe our ultimate life purpose is to glorify and enjoy God forever. The Lord our God is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we are a community of believers seeking to love and worship our Heavenly Father as we follow God's Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Relying on God's grace in Christ, we rejoice at having been set free from our sins to love our neighbor as ourselves and to share with all people the hope and comfort of the good news of Jesus.

We want all of our worship, giving, teaching, fellowship and mission to be marked by obedience to God's Word, joyful celebration of the Christian sacraments of baptism and communion, and submission to the life-transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

We summarize the core of our Christian belief in the evangelical, orthodox tradition: Having been justified by GRACE alone through FAITH alone because of CHRIST alone, we joyfully live for the GLORY OF GOD alone, directed in our belief and behavior by the authority of SCRIPTURE alone, which is the WORD OF GOD.
